Guide

How it works

You do not need to learn a new app. The calculator is a connector that your AI assistant can call, the way it might call a search tool. A web app, for subscribers who prefer to work on screen, will open with subscriptions and is covered by the same subscription.

You ask
Compare two plans for my household.
Your assistant calls 9to95
9to95 runs the numbers

The calculator returns numbers. Your assistant explains them.

You get a comparison
Plan APlan B
Illustration, not real output. No figures are shown because none are real.

See every setting one step at a time in the guide.

1. Connect once

Add the connector in your assistant's settings. See the connect guide for your assistant.

2. Describe your household

The assistant interviews you: ages, accounts, income, spending, Social Security. It writes the answers into a scenario file and checks the file is valid before any numbers run.

3. Run and compare

The calculator runs a single-path projection and a Monte Carlo analysis. Using your own figures needs a subscription. You can define two or more plans and see them side by side. Results are phrased as comparisons under stated assumptions, with the assumptions listed.

4. Your assistant does the talking

The calculator returns numbers; your assistant explains them. The explanation comes from your assistant, so wording can vary. The numbers come from the calculator.

What it does not do

  • It does not name securities or funds, and does not tell you what to buy or sell.
  • It does not connect to your bank or brokerage.
  • It does not keep your plan. See privacy.
